Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako says Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has blessed Nana Akufo-Addo, his Presidential Candidate to win the 2016 general elections.
He asserted that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has poured his last and only blessing on Nana Akufo-Addo to win this year’s election as he was his lawyer before he became the Ashanti King and Nana Addo a flagbearer.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Chairman Wontumi as affectionately called, said Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in a meeting with Nana Akufo-Addo, former President Kufuor and his entourage disclosed that he has a long relationship with Nana Akufo-Addo; thus the NPP which has travelled this far belongs to him.
"We are therefore confident that 2016 elections, by the grace of God, NPP will win whether it is conducted on November 7 or December 7. Akufo-Addo has been blessed already by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and so anybody after him will not obtain any blessings from the Ashanti King,” he asserted.
"For now, Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP has taken all the blessings from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and in 2017, the President of Ghana will be Nana Akufo-Addo,” he stressed.
Otumfuo however advised NPP to campaign on its achievement and on the things they can do to help solve the problems of Ghanaians.
Chairman Wontumi however professed that in the entire Africa, the most popular opposition leader is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo based on the fact that he has received large audience and followers as he goes round to campaign.
“I have never seen such a crowd following an opposition leader like Nana Addo. I can say that in the entire Africa, Nana Akufo-Addo is the most popular opposition leader,” he asserted. |
