Former Minister of Petroleum Resources under the Goodluck Jonathan administration,

While explaining further, it was learnt that the mansion is located in Asokoro area of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, and is valued at $18million with furnishings inside estimated to cost at least $2 million, as well as having a bulletproof gym.
The EFCC explained that it discovered $18m mansion, while granting a recent interview to Al-Jazeerah, with various jewelleries and huge sums of money reportedly found from some of the corrupt government officials.   Diezani Alison-Madueke Ibrahim Magu, the EFCC boss, who spoke at the interview said: “We have been able to take on a lot of big shots that were hitherto were untouchable in the three arms of the military, political class. We have recorded 164 convictions in just one year.”
The EFCC helmsman also disagreed with those who said the anti-corruption war is selective and politically motivated stating that: “No! Not my EFCC, not the EFCC of today. We are not politicised. If there is an allegation against anybody, we will go after them.” It should be observed that the confiscated property is part of the $10.3b worth of properties and money recovered, which were stolen during the last administration. Likewise, the EFCC, at least a week ago, found out that Port Harcourt’s Le Meridien Hotel was allegedly purchased by the same Diezani Alison-Madueke, using First Bank of Nigeria Executive Director (ED), Dauda Lawal.
