KUWAIT CITY: A Filipina domestic worker has accused her Kuwaiti sponsor of raping her several times inside his house in Rumaithiya area.
According to security sources, the victim went to Rumaithiya Police Station along with an employee of the Embassy of the Philippines, and she reported that her sponsor raped her the previous day inside her bedroom.
She revealed that he raped her many times in the past due to which she went to the embassy to report the incident. Securitymen went to the house and arrested the citizen. He denied the accusations. He was referred to the General Department for Criminal Evidences and a case was filed against him.
Immoral activities in massage parlours
Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs in the Interior Ministry Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarah supervised the surprise inspection campaign conducted by officers from the Residency Affairs General Department, resulting in the arrest of 18 Filipinas engaged in immoral activities.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department revealed the officers carried out the campaign based on information obtained from a reliable source about the immoral activities in a number of massage centers in Salmiya.
After putting three suspected centers under surveillance, the officers obtained a warrant to raid these centers and this led to the arrest of 18 Filipinas engaged in immoral activities. All those arrested were referred to the concerned security unit for medical test and other legal measures.
