Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has described the Late Ademola Adeniji-Adele as a great political figure, a committed leader and a man with love and passion to serve.
Mimiko in a statement said the death of the late Lagos politician and leader is a shocking end to a worthy and remarkable life. He said: “In Lagos and the South West, Ademola Adeniji-Adele put himself at the disposal of the people in every position he held and was dogged in the pursuit of causes he believed in. He was a committed leader with love and passion to serve.” Recalling the early life of the Lagos prince, Mimiko said: “the late Ademola Adeniji-Adele was a well known, yet unassuming figure in the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State.” The Governor said Adele’s remarkable life as a sports enthusiast and successful administrator attest to his doggedness and commitment to endeavors that he was involved in. “While his death will rightly be seen as a great loss to his family, it will at the same time create a vacuum in the fold of his associates having served as Local Government chairman and deputy gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State before he joined the APC” Mimiko said. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, asking the children and Family to take heart.
