CAPE TOWN – The Democratic Alliance (DA) has announced Antoinette Steyn as its Mayoral Candidate in the Breede Valley.
The party’s Western Cape Leader Patricia de Lille made the announcement during an official ceremony in Worcester last night.
Twenty-one ward candidates were also unveiled at the event.
De Lille said backing Steyn, who has held office in the municipality since 2014, is a good move.
“Our mayoral candidate is not a ceremonial mayor. She has been really working hard on the ground and I’m very confident that her leadership will continue to make progress in the Breede Valley Municipality.”
