EGYPTAIR PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING OVER BOMB SCARE

The plane, travelling from Cairo to Beijing, landed in Uzbekistan due to an explosion threat.

JOHANNESBURG – An EgyptAir plane from Cairo to Beijing has landed in Uzbekistan due to an explosion threat.

The plane made an emergency landing after an anonymous tip-off about explosives on board, according to media reports.
The Uzbek Airlines press service has confirmed the information.

The plane is now being searched by security services to find out if there really is an explosive on board, the local airline reported.
