Alimodu Sheriff should apologize to PDP - Governor Wike

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has asked the immediate past chairman of PDP, Alimodu Sheriff, to apologize to the party for his conduct during and after the Saturday May 21st convention of the party held in Port Harcourt.

Alimodu Sheriff was sacked as the party chairman by members of the party during the convention and a caretaker chairman in the person Ahmed Makarfi, was appointed.

An angry Sheriff, approached the Lagos state High Court which gave an injunction barring INEC from recognizing the caretaker committee.

Wike's call for an apology from Sheriff is contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Simeon Nwakaudu
“We have seen that there is a hidden agenda. But nobody can destroy the PDP. PDP will wax stronger. Those around the former acting National Chairman have questionable character. They are people who think that they can use the judiciary to cause crisis. In my entire political career , I have never seen a man with many opponents as Senator Sheriff. Modu Sheriff should apologize to the party,” he said
