Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, was this afternoon questioned by members of the House of Representatives on the increase in petroleum pump price which he announced last week. Kachikwu said if the fuel price is not increased, fuel queues will return, there will be no money in the federation account allocation committee and there will be social disruption. He also said Nigerian refineries are obsolete and require maintenance..
Do you agree with him? The previous administration was able to keep the queues away without increasing the petrol pump price. Yardua's administration even reduced the price of petrol and never recorded queues at the filling station even during the yuletides. So what is your take? Drop your view in the comment box.
