Teacher hands out 'racist' maths quiz featuring questions on 'pimps and drug dealers called Leroy and Tyrone'
A teacher who allegedly handed out a maths test that used drugs and prostitutes to test pupils has been suspended.
Joanne Bolser, who is set to retire this year, is accused of telling students to complete the exam which featured questions on 'hos turning tricks', 'drive-by shootings' and a drug dealer who 'sells an 8 ball'.
But shocked parents of Year 9 students, aged between 13 and 14, from Burns Middle School in Mobile, Alabama, have called it 'unacceptable'.
Bolser has now been suspended with an investigation launched by the school.
The 'LA Math Proficiency Test' is understood to be a parody quiz posted on the internet.
One of the questions in the quiz refers to 'Tyrone' who 'knocked up four girls in the gang' and asks: 'There are 20 girls in his gang. What is the exact percentage of girls Tyrone knocked up?'
Another references a drug dealer named Leroy, who 'sells an 8 ball to Antonio for $320 and 2 grams to Juan for $85 per gram'.
And one question explains that Dwayne 'pimps 3 ho's' and reads: 'If the price is $85 per trick, how many tricks per day must each ho turn to support Dwayne's $800 per day crack habit.'
The incident came to light after a mother, Erica Hall, was sent a picture of the test by her son on Friday.
She told WPMI NBC she “couldn’t believe" the photograph and added: “They took it as a joke, and she told them that it wasn't a joke, and they had to complete it, and turn it in.
“I was shocked because she's a strict teacher.”
Bolser will face a hearing and be able to appeal, but is understood to have been suspended just a day before the end of the school year
