weekend, ahead of the official grand opening on June 16th. The theme park

Shanghai's new Disneyland resort kicked off its trial operations last weekend, ahead of the official grand opening on June 16th.
The park is not officially open yet, but is revealing itself for the first time to some lucky guests.
It will only receive 10 thousand visitors per day during its test run.
Nearly half the shops in Disney Town, a nearby retail and entertainment area, also opened to the public. They include Asia's first World of Disney Store.
Even with the limited recreation facilities, visitors said they enjoyed the experience a lot.
"Only Disney Park at Shanghai has this wheel. I recommend other visitors to try it. It's really awesome!" said tourist.

Once it goes into full operation, Shanghai Disney Resort will expect 25 million visits annually, which means 70-thousand visits every day.
Resort staff described their safety plan.

But if you're thinking about attending its June 16th grand opening, it could well be worth making other plans -- tickets sold out a while back.
